CARE OF OUR YOUNG CITIZENS?
It is so important that the message of how precious our youngsters are is broadcast far and wide. We have heard, on the News about "baby P" and others who have been mis-treated and even abused so much that their little bodies have given up on life, at the hands of the misguided and ruthless "parents" and others.
I find this type of News so upsetting and having raised four step-children and two step-grandchildren and fostered, I know how problematic children can be. However, there is never an excuse to subject anyone to the kind of treatment we have all heard about

Why don't these Adults foster these children out of their lives?
It makes me shudder to think about the pain that they must have gone through.
I know, and understand the Adults involve must have required their own help to cope and the Social Services, who are consistantly "burnt at the stake" for their lack of "joined up" thinking. Yet, there are so many people in need these days that the cause of the trauma in society is often put aside for a greater emphasis on the symptoms of the failings. I believe we need an extensive push and investment in the provision of centres for public support, providing Parents with intensive and continuous support from the birth of their child to the start of that child entering into the working environment. We then have a robust and true welfare society, that deals with the problems, at source.
