Today, the United States of America has truly embarked on a path to a real united state. The electors have shown a great maturity and understanding of the needs of the whole world.
Mankind moves on a pace now and President Barack Obama carries more than the presidency of America on his shoulders. The proof of the changes in ordinary people's attitudes to race that he has shown will indicate a landmark in the way we, as a human race will move forward from this date.
If we, as people of the world can weed out the bigots and racist elements of our societies we can all move into a better and more understanding world. I hope, before my time ends, that I see a "joined up" world, where people everywhere care about their neighbours (in every sense) and the positive strengths of mankind will ensure that we lose the need for charities to feed the starving and treat the sick. The waste of the "developed" nations is an insult to the millions who starve to death, become blind or suffer in many ways due to the lack of a minute amount of essential goods, goods that the so called "developed" nations discard without a second thought.
I, for one, am so pleased that Barack Obama has become President of America and look forward to his term in Office and the "CHANGE" that will result.
I am not particularly religious but "God bless mankind". We all deserve a CHANGE.
